ABOUT

Dr. Mehta's clinical approach integrates health psychology, behavioral medicine, and applied psychological science, translating complex concepts into practical strategies for everyday life while considering the broader social, cultural, and environmental contexts that shape behavior. Her work is informed by a theoretically integrative perspective that draws from empirically supported approaches to promote lasting behavioral and emotional change.

She has experience working with individuals across the lifespan, from early childhood through later adulthood, and across a broad range of clinical presentations, from adjustment-related concerns to severe and persistent psychiatric disorders and chronic medical conditions.

Dr. Mehta completed her training in social and behavioral sciences at The Ohio State University, followed by graduate and clinical training at Pepperdine University and The University of Memphis. Her experience spans medical, government, institutional, and private practice settings, with a focus on applying psychological science within real-world systems.

In addition to her clinical practice, Dr. Mehta writes and speaks on how psychological principles function in real-life conditions—particularly in high-stakes, emotionally complex situations. Her work emphasizes clarity, responsibility, and the development of skills and capacities that support long-term change rather than immediate relief.
